
As an activist and artist, Rev. Dr. Beverly Dale uses her talents to communicate a socially responsible message. Using poetry, writing, and music, she challenges people to consider today’s issues in the context of their own body selves to create an awareness of their neighbor as well as the stranger.
PassionWorks is the name given to the sexuality ministry, which emphasizes sex-positive ethics and sexual justice, particularly with regards to domestic partnerships, emergency contraception, and sexual minority rights. The workshop "Sex at Penn, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" is being offered to fraternities and sororities and any interested persons. This program focuses on the downside of the "hook up culture" yet celebrates the benefits of sexual decision-making when considered, well-informed, and respectul.
The workshop "How to be a Good Lover" (using faith principles of the gospel to explore what makes for quality intimate relationships)is also available.
"Jesus as Lover: Women and Sexuality" is a Bible study focusing on Jesus' interactions with women andhow we can use the gospel to make better informed decisions.
